By 28th February, 2017 Press Releases No Comments

STAFF from three Teesside care homes will be packing bags at Tesco to raise money for the Alzheimer’s Society.

The nurses, carers, activity coordinators and managers will be helping shoppers at the Durham Road store, Stockton on Tees, on Thursday, 2nd March.

The volunteers have come from:

  • Ingleby Care Home, Lamb Lane, Ingleby Barwick
  • Mandale House Care Home, Acklam Road Thornaby
  • The Beeches Care Home, Green Lane, Newtown
  • Queens Meadow Care Home, Stockton Road, Hartlepool.

Liz Jones, Customer Relations Officer for Hill Care, said: “We’re raising as much money as possible for the Alzheimer’s Society with a series of events across Teesside.

“This has included cake sales, coffee mornings and a charity cycle ride in our homes in Stockton, Middlesbrough and Hartlepool from March 20th to 24th.

“The Tesco bag pack is the latest in a line of fundraising activities.

“We’d ask anyone popping into store to donate their spare change to a very worthy cause and one close to the hearts of our staff, residents and their families.”
