Home Press Releases Sheffield care home gets into the Halloween spirit
A SPOOKTACULAR Halloween party was held at a Sheffield care home.
Entertainer Diane Bennie-Marshall gave a masquerade performance at The Laurels and The Limes Care Home, on Manchester Road Sheffield.
The performer, who uses the stage name DeeDee, sang the elderly residents’ favourite songs, held a Halloween themed quiz and played traditional games.
Care home staff and residents also got into the spirit by dressing up as witches and classic horror movie characters.
Jane Ridge, home manager at The Limes Care Home, said: “Our residents and staff had a thoroughly spooky time at this year’s Halloween party.
“We believe it’s important to celebrate the events our residents remember from their younger days, as it helps them engage and interact with others as well as reminisce.
“We’d like to thank Diane for coming along and giving an amazing performance.”
