SCHOOL pupil Poppie Hall played Easter bunny for elderly care home residents in Stockton-on-Tees.

The six-year-old, who attends Breckon Hill Primary School, in Middlesbrough, hopped into The Beeches Care Home, on Green Lane, to deliver chocolates.

Poppie said: “I enjoyed visiting the residents. They were so kind and loved their Easter Eggs. I like to make people smile.”

Poppie’s mum and administrator at the home, Debra Hall said: “Poppie thought it would be a good idea to visit the residents and give them all some chocolate for Easter, as she always enjoys going and speaking to the residents when she visits.

“The residents thought this was a lovely idea and gave Poppie cuddles to thank her.”

Resident Fergus McLellan said: “I enjoyed the visit from Poppie. I look forward to eating my chocolate.”

Fellow resident Mildred Slater said: “It was a lovely thought to bring the chocolate in for everyone to enjoy.”
