Christmas card appeal for Skelmersdale’s elderly

Christmas card appeal for Skelmersdale’s elderly

By 6th December, 2018 Press Releases Comments Off

THINK of elderly residents this Christmas when writing your festive cards, Skelmersdale care home staff have appealed.

Christmas can be a lonely time for those with no family and friends to celebrate with, says Aaron Crest Care Home manager Adrienne Ratcliffe.

So the home, on Tanhouse Road, is asking the community to consider sending a Christmas card.

Adrienne said: “Staff do everything they can to make Christmas a special time of year for residents, while providing the care they need.

“A simple card to our residents will help make their Christmas that much more special.

“Many of our residents don’t have family and friends anymore and a card will make all the difference.

“We’d like to receive as many cards as possible to show our residents they are not forgotten this Christmas and are still part of the wider community.”

Anyone interested in sending a Christmas card should address it to: The Residents, Aaron Crest Care Home, Tanhouse Road, Skelmersdale, Lancashire, WN8 6AZ.
