Experienced manager takes top job at Widnes care home

A NEW experienced home manager has been appointed to a Widnes care home to continue driving forward improvements.

Clare Richards has taken the top job at Halton View Care Home, on Sadler Street, after more than two decades in the industry.

She has spent her entire career working in care, beginning at 18 years old, after completing a Youth Training Scheme programme.

Her first home manager role was 13 years ago, at the age of 25.

Prior to joining Halton View Care Home, Clare worked at sister home Aaron Grange Care Home, in Huyton, which are both operated by the Hill Care Group.

At Aaron Grange, Clare oversaw the achievement of a “Good” rating from industry regulator the Care Quality Commission (CQC) in the home’s latest inspection report.

She said: “I truly believe the key to caring for elderly people is making sure they are treated as an individual and the environment they live in is safe and comfortable.

“We aim to create a home from home feel alongside personalised support from a team of highly trained and dedicated staff.

“Everyone here is committed to treating each of our residents as individuals, taking the time to get to know them and developing a personal care plan, so that we can cater for their specific needs.

“Here at Halton View Care Home, we provide long-term, short-stay and respite care to residents with general residential or residential dementia needs.
