Hill Care and the Coronavirus Outbreak

At Hill Care, the health and safety of our residents and staff continue to be, our top priority.

We are pleased to open our homes to visitors without having to pre-book a visit.

However, we ask that if you are showing any symptoms which could indicate Covid-19 that you do not travel to the care home as you could have Covid -19 and could spread this to your loved ones.

According to the latest government guidelines – April 2022, the symptoms of coronavirus (COVID-19) in adults can include:

  • a high temperature or shivering (chills) – a high temperature means you feel hot to touch on your chest or back (you do not need to measure your temperature)
  • a new, continuous cough – this means coughing a lot for more than an hour, or 3 or more coughing episodes in 24 hours
  • a loss or change to your sense of smell or taste
  • shortness of breath
  • feeling tired or exhausted
  • an aching body
  • a headache
  • a sore throat
  • a blocked or runny nose
  • loss of appetite
  • diarrhoea
  • feeling sick or being sick

The symptoms are very similar to symptoms of other illnesses, such as colds and flu.

Hill Care will continue to review and update our guidance for our residents and staff, in line with all the Government advice available, to keep everyone safe in our homes.
