Hill Care Modern Slavery Statement

Hill Care Group was first established in 2001 with our very first care home. The group is now a growing business that currently operates over 30 care homes across the UK. We pride ourselves on the quality of care that we provide across all of our homes. Our aim is to provide a service that meets the unique standards of each resident. We work off the moto of, you are in caring hands, because Hill Care does care!

This statement is made pursuant to section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015. We ensure we have relevant and necessary polices and procedures in place. We are committed at preventing risks of slavery, forced labour and human trafficking. As a company we recognise that this is an issue in our society and we do all we can to ensure that modern slavery is not taking place within our business or supply chain. We demonstrate ethical practise in all that we do, at all levels of the business.

  • We ensure that we work from safe recruitment and follow the policies we have in place. Ensuring that we follow these when going through the recruitment process means that we have a clear understanding of the people we employ.
  • Our modern slavery policy forms part of our employee handbook and is handed to all new starters to raise awareness. This handbook is given out to new starters in all positions, both at care home level and head office level.
  • As well as all employees who form part of Hill Care Group having an understanding of modern slavery, we expect our suppliers to also have the same understanding. Our supply chains include procurement of food and beverages, facilities management, utilities, waste management, medical supplies and agency workers
  • Any risks are identified within quarterly risk and audit meetings and any actions addressed by the senior management team.

We will continue to look at further ways we can help identify and mitigate any risks of modern slavery within our business over the next financial year.
