Longmoor Lodge residents receive Christmas gifts from Dunelm

A CHRISTMAS surprise awaited residents at Longmoor Lodge Care Home when they woke to dozens of presents from home furnishings retailer Dunelm.

The Sandiacre care home, near Nottingham, received over a dozen festive bags filled with biscuits, chocolates, and other donated gifts.

The home manager Michelle King signed up to Dunelm’s “Delivering Joy at Christmas” campaign and was delighted when members of the local store dropped off the gifts before Christmas day.

They were handed out to delighted residents on Christmas morning, who enjoyed tearing through the wrapping paper and sharing their presents among fellow residents and friends.

Michelle said: “All the staff at Longmoor Lodge would like to say a very big thank you to Dunelm for delivering joyful gifts for all our residents.

“Our residents loved their Christmas presents and wished all of the staff at Dunelm a wonderful Christmas.”

The delivery to Longmoor Lodge Care Home was announced on the Dunelm Mansfield Facebook page before Christmas, stating: “Another happy visit to Longmoor Lodge Care Home.

“We have delivered 30 presidents to the residents, who will be very excited to get stuck into their wonderful gifts.”
