Home Press Releases Giants’ volunteers revamp care home garden
GENEROUS teenage volunteers raised funds and carried out garden renovation work at a Huddersfield care home.
Members of the Huddersfield Giants Community Trust National Citizenship Service (NCS) spent time at Aden View Care Home carrying out the work.
They organised fundraising activities to buy plants, ornaments and solar lights to install in the care home’s garden.
The 15-to-17-year-old volunteers then spent time at the home planting and installing the items.
Bev Harrison, home manager at Aden View Care Home, on Perseverance Street, Primrose Hill, said: “The work the volunteers did looks great.
“They have worked so hard and made a real difference to the garden for us all to enjoy.
“The residents are particularly pleased with the solar lighting, as it lights up the garden at night, so they are still able to see the plants and ornaments.”
