Big grins at Stockton care home on National Smile Day

NATIONAL Smile Day brought ear-to-ear grins to the faces of the elderly and young at a Stockton-on-Tees care home.

The youngsters of The Oval Child Care Nursery, in Newtown, visited Mandale House Care Home, in Thornaby, for the morning.

Games, reading, and chatting with the elderly residents brought smiles to everyone’s faces. The toddlers even attempted a game of pool.

Sarah Robinson, activities coordinator at Mandale House Care Home, on Acklam Road, said: “What better way to bring a smile to the residents’ faces on National Smile Day than a visit from a group of bouncy toddlers.

“There was no hesitation from the children, who were so loving and full of fun. And the best news – the toddlers will be back for a repeat visit next month.”
