My mother suffers from Dementia and has been a resident at Lever Edge for a few years. I’ve never had a problem, I’m always kept up to date with her health and wellbeing and know that my mum is treated with respect. Caring for someone with dementia is not just a job it’s so much more and thank all the staff for all the hard work and effort they have put in with my mum and especially at these very hard and uncertain times.

I feel it necessary to make you aware what tremendous staff you have at Aden Lodge. They are all exemplary and having spent so much time with them during my sister’s illness I can only say what a team they are. They are a family and made me feel like I was a part of that family too. They all pull together and do everything possible to make the residents happy. All go the extra mile and are Angels.

We’re coming  to the end of what has been a very difficult year.  Working under such extreme pressure you should all be very proud of what you have achieved and the level of care that you have provided.  I know that you are the very best at what you do, no question!

Michael J - family member, The Oaks

On behalf of my family, I would like to thank you and all of your staff for the excellent care and compassion shown to my mum during her stay at The Beeches. The consideration and support towards the family was exemplary, a credit to your care home.  Despite the unprecedented circumstances due to the national pandemic, we were treated to outstanding support both on a professional and personal level. You and your staff are a credit to the profession.

My mother has been in Briarwood Care Home for 3 years, previous to that she had been in two other homes neither of whom could meet her needs. When we were invited to visit Briarwood I was impressed at how homely, clean and airy it was. I had some idea of the kind of home I wanted for my mum as I was a nurse for 38 years and I didn’t want anywhere too clinical and institutionalised. I was really happy with the way it was run and how family-friendly it was as mum has lots of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She settled in fairly well considering her mental state. I loved the way the staff spoke to and cared for Mum. In the recent months during this difficult time due to the pandemic, Mark and the staff have achieved a monumental task of keeping themselves safe in order to care for my mam and the other residents by staying free from COVID . For this I can’t thank them enough. We as a family have been happy that all mam’s complex needs have been met, and for the communication with ourselves if any concerns arise.

Elaine - Daughter of Briarwood resident

Words cannot express our gratitude to the whole staff team. You cared for mum brilliantly and you gave us comfort and strength.

I found this lovely place he has not been in very long but the staff have been both respectful and helpful in what has been a difficult and stressful time. Hopefully my husband will settle here and be happy so I would just like to Thank all the team for their help and understanding with this. They have all made him welcome and although I can only speak on the phone they are giving me the confidence that he is being looked after with respect and dignity. Stay safe and keep up the good work.

Can I just take a moment to express my support for the excellent way that you, as an organisation, have managed the difficult Covid situation. Thank you for all that you are doing to safeguard our families and assure you of my support with the policies you have put in place.

I would just like to say how much I appreciate the care and support my mam receives. The home is like home, it is airy and clean. The staff can’t do enough for the residents. My mam has really settled in, and I know she is happy there. The staff keep us updated on activities and changes.

Please accept our grateful and heartfelt thanks for the love and care you showed Sister Mary during the past 6 years – she loved being with you and told me how lucky she was every time I would visit.  We cannot express enough how very special Ingleby Care Home is – we will always be grateful to you all.

Julie, family member - Ingleby Care Home

Throughout this period I was sent photographs and videos of (my sister), and received a card she made.  Care staff like those at The Laurels have been in the front line of the crisis and are constantly at risk from the virus.  Words cannot express how much I admire them and the work they do.

Harper Family - The Laurels
