PUDSEY PJs and a leg wax helped a Widnes care home raise funds for Children in Need.

Residents and staff took part in fundraising activities at Halton View Care Home, on Sadler Street, for the charity.

Volunteer Alan Lightfoot, dressed as pink panther, put his legs on the line for the event as staff took turns tearing off hair with wax strips.

Donations from visitors raised £60, with all proceeds going to Children in Need.

Lynn Walter, regional manager for the Hill Care Group, which operates Halton View Care Home Widnes in Cheshire, was one of those who took part.

She said: “It was a brilliant day, with the residents, staff and volunteers all having great fun while raising funds for a wonderful cause.

“Our thanks go to all the volunteers that donated on the day.”
