TODDLERS teamed up with the Easter bunny to hunt for chocolate eggs at a Sandiacre care home.

The three and four year olds searched Longmoor Lodge Care Home for the treats, alongside giant Easter bunny, senior carer Sabrina Vitale.

Brookhill House Day Nursery, in Stapleford, were invited to visit as part of the home’s annual celebrations.

As regular visitors, the children frequently spend time with the residents, taking part in arts and crafts and reading stories.

The Easter activities also saw residents making bonnets and an Easter twig tree, using foil and painted eggs as decorations.

Samantha Ely, home manager at Longmoor Lodge Care Home, on Longmoor Lane, said: “Everyone at the care home, including the staff and residents, always thoroughly enjoy the visits from Brookhill House Day Nursery.

“The youngsters always bring huge amounts of energy and enthusiasm into the home and it puts a smile on everyone’s faces. We all had a brilliant Easter celebrating with them and can’t wait for their next visit.”
