Tea Party to raise funds for dementia sensory equipment

MANDALE House Care Home is hosting a Tea Party with a difference – with music, dancing, fitness session, buffet and refreshments.

The party will take place at Teesside Golf Club, on Acklam Road, Thornaby, from 1:30pm, on Tuesday, 16^th May.

Tickets are on sale for £3. All funds raised will go towards new sensory equipment for those living with dementia at the care home.

The event is part of wider Dementia Awareness Week activities taking place at Hill Care Group homes across Teesside.

Christine Reason, home manager for Mandale House Care Home, said: “We’d like to invite the local community to join us for our Tea Party.

“We’re raising funds for sensory equipment, which has proven therapeutic benefits for those living with dementia.

“It will be a great opportunity to get together, have a laugh and a chat, and enjoy dancing and fitness sessions with our residents. We hope to see you there.”
