EGG-citing Easter bonnet making has been taking place at Queens Meadow Care Home.

Teen volunteers from Hartlepool FC National Citizenship Service (NCS) hatched a plan to run a bonnet making activity with the elderly residents.

They decorated bonnets with brightly coloured chicks, rabbits, carrots and eggs as part of the Easter celebrations taking place at the home, on Stockton Road.

Julie Armstrong, home manager at Queens Meadow Care Home, said: “The residents all had a great time with the young adults from the NCS.

“We must thank them for their ongoing support of the care home. The Easter bonnet making is the latest in a run of activities they’ve been doing with our residents.

“The bonnets all look fab and have got everyone in the mood for a great Easter holiday.”
