CARE home staff dressed as The Pink Ladies from the classic movie musical Grease to celebrate Wear It Pink Day in Hartlepool.

The staff and residents from Queens Meadow Care Home, on Stockton Road, all donned their favourite pink outfits for the event.

The home, on Stockton Road, was also decorated with pink bunting and balloons, to raise awareness and funds for charity Breast Cancer Now.

Julie Armstrong, home manager, said: “We celebrate Wear It Pink Day every year, as it always brings a smile to everyone’s faces and helps raise funds for a great cause.

“This year, we raised £40 for Breast Cancer Now, which is a charity close to the hearts of everyone here at Queens Meadow.”
