Respite Care and Short Stay

Caring for a loved one can be rewarding, but time off for both of you is essential. Short care breaks, also known as respite, allow family carers the time to recharge their batteries while offering their loved ones the reassurance of 24-hour care.

Respite and Convalesence

Everyone deserves time out whether you care for a relative or are in need of care yourself, taking a break from your usual routine can do the world of good.
As a carer you can relax, knowing that you’re relative, friend or loved one is in a safe, welcoming environment with expert care tailored to their needs. A respite stay at a Hill Care care home gives many people the opportunity to enjoy time with friendly and welcoming staff and residents. Respite care is ideal for those looking for convalescence, either following a hospital stay or an illness or you’re planning a holiday and require care cover for your loved one while you’re away.

Care Needs Assessment – Personal Preferences

Many people also arrange a trial stay as a temporary resident to see if the home is the right choice for them as their new home. Here at Hill Care we are committed to providing you with the care and support you need to get back on your feet. Our aim is to provide seamless continuity of care and our well-trained staff work hard to ensure that everyone’s personal desires and preferences are respected. Prior to admission, the home manager will arrange to meet you in the convenience of your own home, or at the care home. We then assess your care needs, start to get to know you and your likes and dislikes and then tailor a care plan to suit you.

We provide round the clock care in a safe, comfortable environment, whether it’s just for a few days or up to six weeks.
